Peter Deng has over 14 years experience in electronic manufacturing industries. He is currently a self-employed consultant, providing assistance with product manufacturing quality & reliability, including lead-free soldering technology, reliability test and failure analysis.
As manager of reliability lab at SGS China, a global leader in inspection, test and certification, Peter designed and planned SGS reliability activities (greater detail upon request) including establishing, equipping and directing laboratory testing and reliability consulting. His work included materials test, environmental test, mechanical test, performance test, analysis of physical failures, discussion of lead-free manufacturing and reliability engineering.
Earlier, he worked at Huawei Technologies, a famous Chinese telecommunication equipment manufacturer, as manufacturing engineer. He was responsible for printed circuit board assembly/attachment of electronic and mechanical components, using lead-free solder materials, process and equipment including wave soldering and conformal coating.
Peter got his diploma from Taiyuan Institute of Science and Technology. Peter majored in material engineering. Independently, Peter has been active in an association of electronics industries called IPC, also in physics of failure IEEE studies.
